Book Launch for New Indonesian Plays

Diversify your reading! Come and celebrate with us and get your copy of New Indonesian Plays.

This is the first collection of Indonesian plays to be published in English in the UK.

Featuring seven plays from new and established Indonesian playwrights selected by Muhammad Abe and Gunawan Maryanto, the collection is edited by Cheryl Robson, with an introduction by Rebecca Kezia.

Plays included:

RED JANGER by Ibed Surgana Yuga translated by Andy Fuller
CUT OUT by Riyadhus Shalihin translated by Alfian Sa’at
BREAK IN by Agnes Christina
SIN by Trisa Triandesa, adapted from the novel ‘Not a Virgin’ by Nuril Basri and translated by John McGlynn
BEDFELLOWS by Hanna Fransisca, translated by Cobina Gillitt
THE MAKASSAR TRILOGY by Shinta Febriany, translated by Alfian Sa’at

There will be a playreading extract from one of the selected plays, a Q and A + refreshments. Signed copies available at a reduced price.
