Female mentors on the original book included Carole Spedding, organizer of Feminist Book Fortnight and Ros de Lanerolle, publisher at The Women’s Press. In her foreword to the book, publisher and managing editor Cheryl Robson, credits their encouragement to building the fine list of titles provided by the publisher today.
Cheryl Robson was a recent finalist in the itv National Diversity Awards – Lifetime Achievement category and Aurora Metro Books was a finalist in the 2019 IPG Diversity in Publishing Awards.
